Why Maila

Maila is a Finnish hockey stick brand. We make proper composite sticks in colors that aren’t black. That’s the whole idea. It turned out to be enough.

The short version

We love black sticks. We just thought you should get another option. So we built a real composite stick and put it in colors you can actually spot on the ice. Same kind of stick you already play with. Different color. That’s it.

Born in Finland

Finland is a hockey country. Rinks in every town, games on every screen, kids on the ice before they can spell their own name. And almost every stick, at every level, is black.

We never understood that part. So we changed one thing. Not the sport, not the stick. Just the color. Designed and tested in Finland, and named in Finnish too. “Maila” means “stick”. We named a stick brand Stick. It fit.

Who we are

We’re Supermaila Oy, a small company from Finland. New name, real company, real people who answer email. We’d rather tell you exactly what this stick is than dress it up.

Where the sticks are made

Our sticks are manufactured in China and designed and tested in Finland. We say that plainly, because you deserve to know before you buy, not after. The design, the flex, the blade and the testing are ours. The color is your call.

Why trust a stick you haven’t heard of

Fair question. Here’s how we try to earn it instead of just asking for it:

We tell you what the stick actually is: 100% carbon fiber, with the full spec on every product page.
Real company, real contact. Email us before you buy. We answer.
A warranty in plain words. If your stick breaks in normal play within 30 days, we replace it once.
Returns you can actually use. 30 days, unused.
Reviews stay honest. Real buyers only. Test sticks are labeled as test sticks. If a section is empty, we leave it empty.
We tell you where it ships from and how long it takes.

What comes in the box

Every stick ships in a velvet bag with a regulation-size puck. One blade pattern. One flex per size. Left or right. 100% carbon fiber. No 40-option menu, because you didn’t ask for one.
