Left-handed hockey sticks

Every Maila stick is made left-handed or right-handed, and left costs the same as right. Pick your side from the Hand menu on any product page. Ten colors, three sizes, 100% carbon fiber, one flex per size. Whichever way you shoot, the stick, the velvet bag and the regulation puck in the box are the same.

Which sticks come left-handed?

All of them. Senior, intermediate and junior, in every color we make. The hand is an option on the product page, not a separate model, so the spec doesn’t move with it. Senior is flex 77 at 385 g and 165 cm (65 in). Intermediate is flex 50 at 320 g and 157 cm (62 in). Junior is flex 20 at 260 g and 147 cm (58 in).

How to tell if you shoot left

The hand that sits lower on the shaft names the stick. On a left-handed stick, the left hand is the lower one. Grab a broom and sweep without thinking about it, then look at which hand ended up on the bottom. It often isn’t the hand you write with. The guide has a second test if the broom didn’t settle it.

Not sure which size?

Size follows the player’s height and weight, not their age. Answer two questions and get a size, or read the size chart if you’d rather see all three next to each other.

If you order the wrong hand

You have 30 days to send an unused stick back for a refund. A stick that has been on the ice counts as used, so try the grip off-ice first. The returns page has the window, the condition and who pays the postage.
